Stacy Herald is the world's smallest mother, and she is about to give birth for the third time despite her doctors warning her against it. Stacy is 2 feet 4 inches tall and doctors have warned the 35 year old from Kentucky not to have any more babies.

Stacy is from Dry Ridge, Kentucky and suffers from Osteogenesis imperfecta which causes brittle bones and weak lungs.

Â Stacy and her husband who is 5 feet 9 inches tall are excited as any new parents would be about the birth of their baby, but it's not without risks to Stacy's health.

Mail Online reports that Stacy is as tall as she is wide right now, and she has to use a wheelchair to get around the house. She spends months in bed to help her. She is due in four weeks. Stacy admits to being uncomfortable, but she is happy.

She is expecting a boy who will be taller than his mother at one year of age. The Heralds want even more children, but must consider the risk factors. The couple met in 2000, and he is a priest in training. They both met and worked in a local supermarket and married in 2004.

Actually the third pregnancy resulted in a baby boy that is currently seven months old. This story was first told in November of 2009.

Her new son Malachi was born eight weeks prematurely by caesarian section November 28, weighing just 2lb 10oz.

As a "normal" sized mother who had five children, I can't imagine the discomfort this poor woman is enduring. She must have a great deal of faith as well as a strong desire for these children. I hope all goes well for her.
