Airports add pet potty areas as a relief station for pets. The pet bathrooms are installed at airports like Dulles and Reagan National. The relief is not only for pets but for their owners as well. If you have ever traveled with a pet, it's your job to keep them in a cage, and clean up the mess. Plus the pet suffers because they are contained in a small area for a long time. I think this is wonderful.
I once had a woman offer to hold my pet while I cleaned up my dog's kennel. I'm not sure, but the woman could have stolen my very expensive and more importantly very loved dog. I refused her offer.
Newsoxy
reports, that the five relief areas are fenced and have fake fire hydrants and as well as artificial grass. Three are located outside the airport and two inside.
It's great to realize this need for travelers and their companions. I hope it catches on around the country. While airlines are cutting back on services and charging for luggage, pets are being treated like people.
As long as our four legged friends are treated right, we can tolerate a lot of airport nonsense.
