Holidays are such a special time filled with love, joy, and long standing traditions. We want to know all about your meaningful holiday tradtions that take place every year.
Take the “Meaningful Traditions Survey†below:
What's your favorite holiday song? Silent Night.....this is a heavenly and healing song and melody...I like to listen to it without the words, played as a melody
What's your technique for decorating your tree? Live tree, lights first, then angel ornaments at the top, let everyone hang the ornaments after that. Folk ornaments; nothing breakable (we had three boys, after all)
What's your favorite holiday recipe to cook? Gluten-free cheesecake, and I do love a turkey dinner, but prefer to let the husband organize that
What do your kids most love about the holidays? Anymore, just to hang out together, play in the snow (if there is any), play games, eat! And open presents, of course...
What's on your holiday list this year? My own? As my mom used to say, just "a kind word"...
How do you capture precious moments? Do you use a camera, video-camera, journal, etc? I love my digital camera and keep it handy
What's one of your favorite family traditions? Eat together, play together
Who do you spend the holidays with? Usually our teen and twenty-something kids, as all other relatives are far away. Music: my favorite Christmas CD is "Toolbox Christmas" and also the harp music of Cynthia Reynolds Wyatt: "A Midnight Clear"
What's your favorite ornament? Angels, also knitted ornaments
How do you teach your children about the spirit of giving? They are older and all like to give, so I leave it to them now
What would you like to see in your stocking this year? Chocolate, as usual!
How do you help those less fortunate during the holidays? Contribute to Salvation Army and donate and shop at Goodwill
How early do your kids wake up for Christmas morning? They all like to sleep in now
Does it snow where you live? If so, how much? It's up for grabs.....the weather is changing. We got snow before Thanksgiving, which was a first for us. Usually it stays in the mountains, for the most part, here on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State.
What's your favorite part of Christmas? Just hanging out with the kids, eating together, playing together, having fun

I didn't mean the song lyrics was "lying to me". I meant, if I sang those words, then, to me, in my opinion, it is like I'm lying.
