most of the time by the time kids get older they can see if for themselves, so you need to be honest with your kids. No one's marriage is perfect but working through it is what counts most. Far too many people give up or don't even try, but if they had they might have seen a world of difference.

I remember how it was getting along with my in-laws and I don't want to make that mistake. I do my best to get along with my children's choice of a mate. I have my likes and dislikes about them, but I keep the dislikes to myself. You know some of them I have actually learned to like! It's amazing how that works! Remember too that your child married their choice, not you!

Larue, thanks for the comments, but remember that when it comes to how the in-law is treating YOU, not your child, you have every right to speak up, just as you w ould with any rude house guest.
