My middle name is Carmel. I always hated that name. I was named after a church in New York called Mt. Carmel. The story goes that my parents were bad Catholics, but they believed I should be baptized. The church agreed but they told my parents i had to be named after the church. That may or may not be true, but later, I found out my grandmother's name was Carmel. So I don't know what to believe. Still whenever I read my name I think of gooey candy like caramel.
