Trying to weather the storm on the home front

Hello friends and gatherites, just popping in to say I miss playing on gather and sharing my pics and sojourns with you.

Life is like that, we all go through troubled times and I'm trying to weather the storm as well as I can, but unfortunately it is all out of my control. Hope my best will be good enough.

Things were a bit rough around here, but starting to look up a bit, so maybe I can begin to focus on my goals, writings and photography again soon. I've got a huge backlog of photos to share with my gather friends, lots of stories to tell, new sites to discuss and even a few great book reviews waiting to be written - if only it were not for my own private hell at the moment.

Right now I can't even think straight enough to write a short post, I've lost the ability to focus, everything is overwhelming, my anxiety level is through the roof.

God willin' and the river don't rise - I'll start off with posting a couple of pics all this week and checking out your new stuff:) hopefully I'll manage a post or two.

I have been sending you good thoughts and extra good vibes since last we communicated...... So glad to hear from you and see that even though your life is not on an even keel at the moment, you continue to work on your amazing photographs.

Nice to see you back Rose, I've missed your wonderful adventures and photos. I hope things return to normal, I know first hand how life can get in the way and I hope it's nothing serious. Taking the good with the bad can be hard on us at times, but as you say, this too will pass.

I can sympathize with your feelings of upheaval. I am fighting my way back from a family crisis and major bout with depression. Both are still around but have abated a little bit. I have lost my focus and have not posted an article on Gather in a long time. I am trying to at least post photos but sometimes even that is a challenge. I hope what challenges you have been confronting ease up and allow you to once again be in a creative mode.

I know what you mean about just posting a couple pics being a challenge, that's exactly where I've been.
Losing focus and being overwhelmed by depression is not good, but I do believe there is a way out - all shall be revealed to us in good time.
Some things take a longer time to fix, that's all.

Oh, Rose, I'm so sorry life hasn't been treating you fine. When I first saw the title, I thought you might be referring to Irene and was going to give you our story of down trees, no electricity, etc. But no....yours is much more serious. Sending you some strong energy.....to weather the storm.
