Today, we added a new little one to the family! A little 10 week old kitten :-) (still haven't decided on a name yet though....)
Here's how all this went down:
My friend (Justin's cousin) Troy and I were meeting for lunch since he was getting an oil change at the dealership I work at. So we decided to go to Micky D's just down the road in Milford since "Monopoly" is going on again. After we ate, we decided to go across the street to the pet store where Justin works at; we still had about 1/2 an hour to kill.
So when we got to the pet store, I did my usual visit with the baby bunnies, and Troy and I checked out all the lizards the store currently had, admiring how cool some of them looked.
After checkin' out all the animals at the store, Justin mentioned there were kittens in the back, where the vet's office is.....btw, kittens are my ultimate weakness and Justin definitely knows that....
After disclosing the information of the kittens to me, I immediately walked back to go see the little fur balls :-) and of course, they were adorable! There was a little all black boy, an orange and white boy and, now our kitten, a mixed colored (orange, black, white) little girl....who was the most shy, but after holding her for a bit she warmed right up. The craziest part? the mixed colored kitten looks EXACTLY like our old cats Chevy and Eevee mixed together! So of course I wanted her immediately....Justin seemed hesitant, but whenever I asked if we could have her, he never said no, he just changed the subject, meaning he wanted to bring her home just as much as I did :-)
Anyway, Troy and I left the store since my lunch hour was over and his oil change was probably complete. Once back at work, I went about my business, texting Justin every once in a while seeing if we could have her... and he never answered me.
Once I got home, I actually wasn't feeling that well (and still am not really....) only to find a new little kitten in my bed :-) It was the mixed colored kitten from the store that I fell in love with!
I love her so much! Our dog, Riley, seems to be a little jealous (just nuzzling at us a lot more then usual) but has shown no aggression towards her, he's actually very curious about her! Sheik, our 2 year old cat, didn't really show an interest in the kitten at all... but Justin and I are sure that will change!
Anyway, I thought I'd share the news with you all, that we added a new member to the family :-)
She still doesn't have a name yet, but I'm sure we will think of something!!! Suggestions are welcome! :-)
