Christmas shopping?

When do you start Christmas shopping in earnest? I start way back in July looking for sales, but when October starts, I start Christmas shopping. I have bought for one one family on my list, but no one else.

I have 9 grandchildren and four children, so the list seems endless, and I never feel like I have done enough. This year, I am trying to stay with two gifts for the kids, and one each for the adults.

Sometimes, I think Scrooge was right!

I shop thruout the year and stack up on Amazon gift cards from the sites i do all year. That way its not so hard at Christmas time.
I also enter lots of giveaways thru out the year to i have a closet full of winnings avail at anyt time for gifts.
I just cant handle being stressed to buy gifts knowing i cant afford them to begin with.
I use to charge Christmas gifts and pay the balance off at income tax, but then i wasnt able to enjoy my income tax refund:(

we are almost done,, I need to see what the son needs in his new home,, and my daughters bday is on the 15 of dec so I am alway last with her..
we have five little neices and nephews we get for,, plus our own grand kids.. then 5 adults kids,, and then my mum, then his mom. then we draw names for my side and his side.. so four more there..
OH yeah I start in feb or jan of this yr

My granddaughter's birthday is three days after Christmas so I buy that gift first.

I don't buy Christmas anymore except for a new baby's first Christmas. I do make a big box of cookies and candy for each family and I make most of our big family dinner. With 6 kids, their spouses. 25 grandkids and 7 great grands there is no way I can get even one decent gift for each one. We do put up stockings and I help with stuffers.

I have 10 neices and nephews, plus my kids....so I start VERY early. Actually, I'm about done with my shopping for the year.

I go christmas shopping all year long because that way you can get the sales and stuff. My husband and I start shopping for each other though ion black friday because that's where we get the best deals on what we both really want. It works cuz by christmas we forget what we bought each other lol.

I don't know about starting, but I do know I finished my Christmas shopping about eight years ago.

I shop throughout the year and have a few small things, but like you I don't really start shopping until October. I need to kick it in gear this year though, I'm sort of behind.
