I wanted to wish my friends a Happy November, and see what you have planned for Thanksgiving. We have the traditional meal of turkey, corn, mashed potatoes, salad, etc. I hardly get to eat my own turkey, but I make the most wonderful homemade gravy from the turkey drippings. I will post the easy recipe soon. No, it is not on my diet plan.

My family always gets together at my aunts so we are heading up the the Shenandoah mountains(they have a cabin about halfway up a mountain and the views are breathtaking). Although she makes the turkey, gravy and a couple of sides, the rest is pot luck. I think I'm supposed to be bringing Watergate salad(it's a dessert salad made with cool whip and fruit. I'll be posting a recipe this week). It's the easiest thing to make and even though I'm a cook, being the youngest has it's advantages in our family. I've been in charge of the same menu item since I was 5(that should give you an idea of how easy it is to make).
I hear there is snow coming in a day or so
