Two years ago my grandchildren, Kaylee P. (now age 11), Kyndal P. (now age 9), and Luke P. (now age 6), wrote a story about grandma encountering an alien late one night while on her way home. (click here to read that short sotry if interested) Almost two years to the day they decided to write a follow up story … and here it is.

Return of the Space U.F.O.
Late one night I was awakened from a deep sleep by someone or something jumping on my bed. When I opened my eyes there was the little green alien that I met on my first encounter with a U.F.O. several years ago
I was scared out of my wits and my hair stood on end as I watched the little green man bouncing up and down on my bed.
“Hello Grandma”, he said. “I have come to take you back with me to my wonderful planet far far away from earth.”
As my teeth chattered from fear I managed to reply in a squeaky voice, “Not on your life, Bozo!”
“You were meant to be our queen.” he said. “You have a bone in your body that is green and you will start to morph into one of us. The bone was implanted on your first encounter with us when we here checking on earthlings for our future queen. You were chosen and we froze time for a short moment so we could implant the green bone into your system. We are going to take you on a long space mission that will complete the change in your body. By the time we arrive at our planet, you will be transformed into the most beautiful green queen in the universe. By the way, my name is Spitzer not Bozo.”
“Thank you” I replied. ...Wait! What was I saying?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Was I already starting to morph, and think like them?
“Wait, I mean NO!!!!!!! You will get this green bone out of my body, and you will do it NOW,” I demanded in my sternest grandma voice!!!!!!!!
Spitzer looked at me and smiled……..Then everything went black. (Or maybe green, I can’t remember.)
When I opened my eyes again, I was on a beautiful green planet and when I looked down I couldn’t help but notice that I was a beautiful glowing green!!!!!!!!! All the green aliens on the planet were shouting in unison, “All hail queen grandma!” And for some reason I liked being the queen and I like being green.
“All hail queen grandma!”

Authors footnote: The name Spitzer was chosen for the little green alien in honor of our grandma because she often sprays us when she talks!

Drawn and painted on MS Paint by Ms Lee P.
My grandchildren asked me to draw the illustration for their story. I think that the grandma character has changed a little since that first story illustration was drawn.

I'm going to go check on your art work, I'm behind on following up on my friends and I always love your art, it's exceptional.
Love your illustration. Your hair looks pretty frazzled ;)
Now they need to write another and get you

THANK YOU FOR SHARING AT SURREAL CIRCUS!
This will make a fantastic children's book - great illustrations and such a happy vibe to it!
At the very least go check out a place like blurb.com and have them print it, story and illustrations - I bet it will become an editor's favorite. You can order just one copy for yourself and then make it available for other's to buy - they handle it all for you at no extra charge.
I'd buy it for my nephews kids:)
Shared and twittered.
then there's always a ball to give or attend

I have a feeling grandma will handle all with complete ease:)

Great art work on this, as always!
I love how the action unfold; especially your response to the Green alien and the ending.
I'm very serious in this being a major paradigm of included thought in the American student. I don't like technology much and I don't care much for about 97& of Rap music, but I do respect the educationals benefits these two icons of culture bring. I also have a theory about how cooperation produces better results than singular genius, but ...
