Hi, everybody! How are you?
I just wanted to let you know that our daughter was born on November 19 at 12:03 a.m. & we are thrilled! :)
It was what the hospital staff called a "precipitous" delivery, meaning that the baby was born less than 3 hours after we got to the hospital.
I had planned to have pain meds in an IV & also an epidural.
However, I have "tiny veins," and the nurse could not get the IV to work. So I got no pain meds. And since the IV was a no-go, I couldn't get an epidural. Yikes!
So let me tell ya, I was in a Lot of Pain. I was not thrilled to find out that this was going to be a 100% Natural delivery.
But it was worth it.
When I had my son, back about 14 years ago, I had pain meds in an IV as well as an epidural. And while most of the time I could feel no pain, after the delivery, I also couldn't feel my legs or Anything from my neck down!
So when I tried to get up to go to the bathroom after the delivery, I fell flat on my face!
This time, once I got over some of the pain, I had lots of energy & felt great!
I was able to take care of my baby and no temporary loss of feeling.
Thank you all for being there for me through this. I really appreciate it & am hoping to return more comments soon! :)
