It's a gorgeous day here in Florida, blue skies and still cool this morning at sixty degrees. We are looking forward to dinner with family and friends this afternoon. I am making my famous cornbread casserole to take.
Our hostess graduated from the culinary institute and she definitely knows how to whip up the best pies and pastries ever. Her husband is in charge of the Turkey, he's perfected the art of cooking a turkey:) Be interesting to see what he came up with this year.
One of my favorites is my sis-in-law's deviled eggs - soo good. I made them one year - I'll never do that again - way too much work.
Richard is happy that the timing for Thanksgiving dinner is perfect for watching all the Thanksgiving day football games and he's not missing out on any football - God forbid:)
The kitties already had their Thanksgiving feast this morning, a can of real tuna, happy kitties.
I've got a lot to be thankful for this year, it's been a roller coaster year with a few tense months, but that is called life. Things are going well now, crisis averted.
I'm grateful for all the little things in my life, I do feel blessed.
Richard surprised me with a bouquet of flowers yesterday
how sweet is that?:)

Today started off great too, laying in bed listening to the Alice's Restaurant song, always put on by our local NPR station every year on Thanksgiving Morning around 8:30am. I love that line when he says, "Officer, I can't tell a lie, I placed that envelope at the bottom of the trash pile:)."
Richard made coffee and when I signed in to gather this morning I found that - drum roll please - I reached enough points for a cash-out. Thanks, gather!
Gotta go now to get things rolling for the day...
Hope you are all having the best Thanksgiving ever!

If I didn't like modern - current styles as much as I do, I could easily go for the Victorian look of dark furniture and her style of china in rose patterns and lots of doilies everywhere - I enjoyed just looking at all her pretties.
Happy Thanksgiving, I'm sure the food was fantastic if you cooked it.
I am here with friends... and Tampa is not our direction this time. But thanks for the invite! I will be back! And so it will work another time.
Happy Thanksgiving, Rose.
Wonderful photo...
