Most of New Year's Day was spent nursing a headache. Mine was not from overindulging as it was the 12th New Year's Eve that I celebrated sober. My pain was the result of not enough sleep and a rather loud little boy.
I was luck enough to chase out the old year with both my grandsons. It has become a tradition over the past few years for my husband and I too spent New Year's Eve with our grandsons. We were not sure Jr would be able to join us this year but our wish was granted.

We were sad that Auntie Lauren abandoned us to party with her friends. Surprise guess who came home before midnight!!!

Of course we had all kinds of snacks but my favorite was the only one worthy of a photo.

It has been a rough couple of months for my family so we enjoyed chasing out the old year. I hope 2012 is a better year for all my friends, family and foes. Why the foes? If my foes had better lives filled with joy and happiness maybe they would stop trying to find ways to add drama to the lives of others.

Happy New Year!!!!!!
