Well, this weekend was great! Very busy, but very productive as well!
My parents came into town and stayed with us for the first time in our house which was great. They brought their two little shih tzu's, Daisy and Molly, who played with our dog, Riley, we had breakfast each morning together, cooked yummy snacks, etc, etc.
My mom and I actually got a lot done on Saturday. We didn't follow plans exactly, but that's alright, it was still a great day! She woke up probably around 7:30, and I was up not too long after, then my dad, then Justin. We had cinnamon rolls, eggs and sausage as our breakfast together, then it was time for all of us (except Justin) to start getting ready for the days adventure! My dad was actually going to the boat show with his friend, Bill and my mom and I had a list of things to do, starting with visiting my grandpa for his birthday. Unfortunately that did not work out though, since my uncle (mom's brother) had picked up my grandpa to go things about 2 hours away from us, so instead my mom and I went and met up with my uncle. I had not seen his new house yet and he wanted me to go through my cousins baby things from when they were little (I did get a couple blankets, but he mainly only had little girl clothes... and seeing as I'm having a boy, it wasn't really valid lol.) After hanging out at his house for a while, we went to Target in Ann Arbor for a bit since my mom had a gift card, then we went headed back home (at this time it was probably about 3:30) but first had to stop in Brighton. My mom wanted me to pick out some fabrics (pic's posted under Isaac!) for her to make him his first blankets :)
Around 5pm, my mom and I were back at my house, just in time to pick up Justin to go to dinner with Bill and his girlfriend. We all went to Buffalo Wild Wings, ate good food and shared a lot of laughs! After dinner, we went to Bill's girlfriend's house to hang out; played a little Yatzee and euchre, which Justin is pro at now! Well kind of lol.
Sunday morning was very relaxing. Again we all woke up, one after the other and had breakfast together. Around noon, Justin's mom, sisters and sister-in-law, Katie all came over to talk to my mom and plan my baby shower. It was a productive little session haha. Turns out my baby shower will be at the Highland House which is a VERY yummy restaurant probably only 30 minutes down the road from me, so I'm very, very excited :)
Anyway, that is all why I was not around this weekend! I had planned on popping in, but by the end of each day, we were just exhausted and craving bed time!
But I'm back! I'll be viewing, commenting and recommending all night probably and tomorrow to try and make up for the 3 missed days, so POST SOME STUFF!!!
